Reminds me of the Mana Ridge OST in Dragon Nest and a bit of the Christmas Theme from Harry Potter and The Philosopher Stone. Great work over all. Very professional sound, very mystic but also enchanting.

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot for your review! I didnt know the mana ridge ost yet but i will definitely take a listen now :) Hm i think if you use celesta these days it always will sound tschajkowsky - nutcracker style or williams - potter style since these pieces just are the reference tracks of this instrument :D I am very glad you liked the sound / production. THats something i stil have to struggle a lot with. I hope i will get better soon once i started my audio engi studies.

Thanks for leaving your thoughts here and all the best!

Are you secretly Hans Zimmer on Newgrounds?

SoundChris responds:

Not really - or am i? Muhahaha ;D No its my first hybrid track i did for a game within a day and tried out some new vsti. But i think i wont regret the purchases :) Thanks a lot for all the kind reviews - they really made me happy. Right now i am composing hard on the limit to get everything done within my deadline (which today in 3 hours) so i will replie to your reviews tomorrow. Glad you like my stuff :D

All the best for you,
Chris

Gorgeous.

Thank you Grandvision!!

This got me into electro swing. Thank you very much,

Once the wet reverb stacked clap began it got my attention. This is a surprisingly simple peace but has many interesting undertones and atmosphere fluctuations, which fit really well. The foreground melodies, especially the harp feel out of place for some reason, I am not sure how to put this. The drums are perfect, since it reminds me of those old style rock songs with the very dry toms.

Overall a very atmospheric piece with very many layers to a slice of lemon cake, that zings and zaps across the tongue and leaves a citrus impression on you.(Hah)

SkyeWint responds:

It's funny, I actually never had thought that this piece would be as simple as it is, but I've been moving more toward simplicity in my music. I really like having a simple basis and then just diving straight into the depth barrel with sound design and atmosphere.

It's too bad you can't figure out how to put the reason why the melodies sound out of place. :< If you figure out why, do tell me! Learning more about what people like and don't like about my music helps me improve, after all.

Definitely reminds me of Assassins Creed 2 soundtrack entitled "Tour of Venice" Especially the piano melodies. I Loved this. <3 +Adding you to my favorite artists list. Now to go back to all your previous submission and listen to them. :)

SkyeWint responds:

Oh hello there.

Glad you like it! I hope you'll find my previous submissions to your liking as well :)

Longer please!

etherealwinds responds:

I have a habit of making short songs :((

I love it.

Beginning was amazing. Last Momens were mediocre, just boring changing string section + french horns, not much to enjoy and dig through the progression. Then it gets good after 4:20.

EvilRaccoon responds:

Thanks for the review. Sorry to hear that you found it boring. It was important that you feel isolated, neglected though, as the character bled out through an emotional state. If it was large and broad, it would feel like a squad of men dying, which isn't what we wanted. It was following the vision we had. Glad you enjoyed the rest.

:)

I love the piano, great atmosphere bringer, until it goes into the epic drums, the background piano melodies fuse well and give a sense of desperation but yet hope for survival.

I am but a dreamer of impossible feats, of lands unknown and worlds unexplored.
