Raising the bar for music in 2015 & Latest WIPs Inside!

I am alive!

My 2014 year in music wasn't the most spectacular as you could probably guess if you followed me closely in the past 2 years, but I have been trying to improve my craft and generally compose unique pieces if I could. I mostly had to stop due to finding a new way to export music without having cut offs, which I fixed, and having to work a normal job in order to pay bills, but now I am more comfortable and I have a lot of goals for 2015 to go through. One of which is to improve on my orchestral composition skills.

I've got some WIPs to share. One is for a commissioner on another website with an Epic Sci-Fi Theme/Mood. Not much detail was given so I was given free reign on the project, which I personally love.

Here it is - http://picosong.com/4iMz/

I have also recently began working on something personal, based off an older unfinished piece, which I very much loved but could never finish, but now I can remake it since I still have the Project File. It's very bare bones.

(Kudos to anyone who can guess the name of the track and the track link for it) P.S IT IS on Newgrounds.

Keep in mind, my creation process is very weird. I like to compose a main motif and then layer instruments one by one, changing notes often, but often leaving the progression part alone until I finish writing all the melodies. Crescendos and swipe in/outs are also left out, or have temporary sounds put up to indicate progression, slow down or change in mood or timing. So everything you hear here are basically melodies which I think I can work with and develop into a full blown track.

As you can see guys, I am not completely dead, and I hope you continue to listen to my creations as it's really comforting to see people comment and just enjoy my venture into music.

See you in the next journal where I will be putting a 2014 Music Retrospective.

Long Time No See[Looking for a Track]

Hey. Long time no post!

I am looking for one of my tracks. It was called The Vortex or something along those lines. Here's a preview I've uploaded a long time ago: http://www.truploader.com/view/113134

I really want to listen to that track again but I deleted it from my submission list and lost the flp and mp3 file of it so if anyone has it or any of your friends have it please do upload it somewhere. No one will probably read this or even bother to look for it. It was downloaded a few times but the chances of finding the person who downloaded it and still has it are slim. I shouldn't have done that back up. Forgot to back up my whole Fl Studio folder. Oh well. Oh and my newgrounds nickname was OverDoseD back then so look through artist name I guess.

They're high quality matt carton with clear colors. I love them.

I am also creating a little album of my best track that I've created in a 2010, kind of like a 2010 track compilation which will feature all tracks to be completely remastered and some will have additional instruments or slight improvements in the melodies.

I'm sorry I have been away from creating any kind of music what so ever. Life has got the best of me and I've been very busy and I have also got creative block that's why you didn't see any track released in the past month or so.

I'm starting to get back into it. Got some ideas going. I've decided to create a new orchestral album track to the best of my ability. Still learning stuff at College and it's interesting.

Here's a preview of the first track: http://www.truploader.com/view/675130

New Equipment and holiday!

2010-07-04 19:32:04 by Grandvision

So I've finally got Symphonic Choirs working which is like 40 GB. It's truly a wonderful VST and Eastwest are great providers of brilliant and clear sounding instruments.

I'm also getting an electronically keyboard soon. Life is flowing great so far. I've got a good future set. I'm going to college, finally, this September and can't wait to start my "Music Technology" course. After that you will definitely see an improvement in my music. I will also be getting piano lessons and will be making my music more realistic.

I'm going on holiday soon and won't be submitting much music in July but except a strong come back in August and beyond!

So wish me good luck and see you in August! :)
